Front: going to do em on Saturday, cant remember if you can get to the inner ones easily or not? The outer ones are pretty easy to attack...


Rear: How hard? how long?

If I may add a question.

What size is that axle retaining nut that holds it all together.

55mm???

did mine the other day, both inner and outer front wheel bearings are easy to get to. Just take the disc and caliper off, obviously the outer are the ones facing you, the inner are on the reverse side of the disc, just spin the disc round and pull them out.

Hint: If you have enough brake line you can slide the disc off the stub axle without having to remove the caliper, turning the steering to full lock(full lock left if working on the left side and vice versa for right) makes it easier to slide them off

Not sure on nut size but you can buy a hub spanner for about 20bucks from bearing shops

im pretty sure its around the 55mm mark, i bought one, best purchase i made a few years ago.

Got the spanner to do it, it was a tube thing mate had made up! works excellent.

When you say the 'inner one' Bruce, i'm guessing that you mean the small needle roller one in the end of the stub axle :?: If thats so, then you need to remove the wheel bearings and then the stub axle. Re-pack the bearing with wheel bearing grease--carefull not to let the moly-grease in the CV housing mix in with the wheel bearing grease. Re-seal the stub axle with a small amount of gasket goo--dont over tighten the stub axle-CVhousing bolts or you'll strip the threads. Should take about hour and a bit per side with the right tools..

Rear--get out the press.... :roll:

Just undo 2 caliper bolts and hook caliper up out of the way with a bit of fencing wire.

Just had a read of my Gregory's manual..says ya need a 53mm socket for the hub nuts..
