Trik Roll Cages, I think thats their correct name, anyway Bennet St Dandenong. They build Cams approved cages. I dnt have their Ph no handy sorry
you will have to look it up.
Know another guy but he dosent use CDS. So it depends on your reason
for wanting a cage which type you opt for.

I 've seen another cagemakers cage survive a huge rollover at 130km/h.... Guess? 5 times end to end - and he walked away from that acco...

So whenever you buy anything, you ring one place get a price and never check how it stands in the market?

It if wasn't for that cage he certainly wouldn't be alive now! They also did a lot of last minute cages for the Ateco competitors this year.
And the company is?

When it comes to the quality of work and reputation that cheezy has, yes i would ask him how much it would cost, make sure i could afford it then book it in.
One of the advantages of getting cheezy to do a cage is that he actually owns and drives a 4x4 unlike many other cage builders who run race cars not 4x4's. He knows how cage design will affect your rigs offroad performance and characteristics.
Have not seen one done by AUS4x4 as yet but would be interested to have a look.
Don't forget to ask what type of steel they are going to make it out of. Some suppliers may be cheaper due to lesser quality steel.
Well I'm guessing that they didn't think everyone would carry on like a big bunch of sooky girls over it like they have........
i am interested in hearing opinions as to what the best material is to use for cages & barwork and why?
I find this interesting as well.
DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) is only mild steel, and has a seam. So why would it be any better than other types of seamed mild steel tube or pipe???
In a cage you want it to deform (bend) rather than snap pipes or split welds/seams (Ideally you would want it to remain intact but I am talking about the extremes of cage durability), so mild steel would be a better choice than stiffer steel alloys which cannot plastically deform as much. But surely seamless tube/pipe would be better? I have seen some of the US buggies made from cro-mo tube but although lighter, it would be stiffer so probably not as good as a cage.
