Suspension upgrade for Rocky?

Post by farhorizonz »

Hey,

I have a 199i Rocky(the TDi model), with leaf springs. The ride is not the best! I am running 15 inch BFG AT tyres and tough dog gas shocks. is there any kit i can get to improve ride quality onroad? At present it is very bumpy over potholes, corrugations and even the slightly uneveness on the road. I changed shocks, but apart from an improvement in handling, the ride is same or worse...do i need new springs? I have done 250000kms, 150000 of them myself with what i guess is original springs.

heaps of kits out there. research on the net and create a
list of possible kits available.

and yeah old rooted springs become worn in, and flex more creating bumpy leaning ride.

what size tyres?? are they bigger than 28s :?:

King Springs and Lovells probably make something to fit.

Dobinsons of Rockhampton will make you a set up. They have the appropriate measurements, and make them onsite in their factory. I have a brand new pair of rear Rocky leaves with a 2 inch lift sitting idle downstairs.
