EF Falcon fans in to RR?

Post by LRHybrid100 »

G'day Guys,

I know there are some of you out there that have put in EL fans, but I have a set of EF fans - think they are the same???

Does anyone have any details on how they fitted them?

Do I need to trim much off?

Where do I secure them to the radiator?

THX in advance

Hey LRH

I m intersted in upgrading the cooling on my disco?
Am I better off going with a bigger radaitor or chnging fan?
Appreciate any detail about location and performance of Falcon fans.

Thanks
Jay

I am running EL/EF fans. on my Rangie. Just need a piece of 25 mm tube welded to the top of the radiator and a piece of 25 mm flat welded to the bottom shroud brackets. You may need to trim some plastic from the fans where the radiator hoses fit. Its an easy .5 hour job to fit the fans plus an hour or so for the wiring. As far as I know EL/EF fans are the same apart from the electrical plugs.

one of the fans seems to run smoothly as its pretty free and the other is quiet stiff to turn by hand.

Are they supposed to be like this?
