I went last year it looked pretty insane. A four part stage, easy to DNF, all terrain two team event. Ask Tony or Nick, they went down last year as well. I also have a video of 2002 if you want to watch it, doesn't look as bad as last years though.
3 Stages.. you have 15 minutes to get through all three..
Just think of it as a small short course.. with a few more interesting bits thrown in for good measure.. If you didn't break anything, you should drive it no worries..
Last year it was held at a property next to Dargle Ski Park, which is north west of Sydney (I think).. We camped at the Ski Park for $5 a night, and from memory it was $12 entry for spectators.. It's usually held on the last weekend in November.. My browser shuts itself down every time I visit the site, but try http://www.orp.com.au for more info..
i went to it last year. first 4x4 comp i've gone to and i thought it was awesome took a few friends with me who aren't into 4x4's too and they loved it too. will definately recommend it for viewers

Cost for spectators are- $15 per person or $50 for a family(includes 2 Adults and 3 Children 5-15years under 5 are free)
I dont think there is a Website.
The Web site is a couple of weeks away, Woodpecker will be held in the same place as last year at Dargle Ski Park, River Road Lower Portland. Entry Fees are as above, camping is avalable for all spectators and competitors this year.
Info from last years event is still on Shanes web site http://www.orp.com.au including directions.
So are we running the Same Courses again this year? Or any of the same Course? I hope the last obstical is used again this year as im going to drive it or at least give it a real good try

No just driving it. Its been a bit of a "door handle" for a while now. I dont think Sam has driven this thing more than once or twice since he built his buggy.

The track will be in the same place but with a few changes, and each of the 3 stages will be a bit longer, the last obstical (Jackhammer Pass) will still be used.
