any is ok but id prefer the rear ais locker, any suggestions sir? i saw on other boards that the 3.0 n 3.5 v6 rear lockers have different specs, so i wanted to know if thetre was a rear locker made specifically for the 2,5tdi pajero gen2?

AFAIK the 2.5l ran 5.285 gears & were available with lockers. You would be flat out finding a wrecked 2.5l with locker, however the 3.ol rear locker (a lot more common but still reasonably rare, but agian NOT as rare as the 3.5l locker) should be interchangeable with your 2.5l ,. You should be able to change the crown wheel & pinion , but Frank would probably know for sure.

cheers

ARB's RD28 should fit your rear. As for the front. Is yours manual transmission?

A Gen 2 2.5TDI should have the 9" rear diff with disc brakes so the ARB RD25 model will fit.
The front diff will be the small 7.25" unit so the new ARB front locker will not fit.

Alex, Gen 2 3.0 V6 auto is the same as a Gen 2 2.5TDI (small front diff).

That's right RD25. Sorry.
So, even Paj with manual transmission on 2.5TD uses smaller diff. Does it? Weird.

Mitusbishi must not have wanted to make another high pinion 5.29 gearset. I wish they did though.

They bothered to make high pinion, small diff 4.88 and 5.29. So inconsistent.
