Discovery _Difficult to find oil leak near oil filter

Post by Rovernaut »

I have this annoying oil leak at the top of the oil filter, it runs down the oil filter and splatters all over my fronf diff.
I've tried Ryco and valvoline and cooper brands of oil filters. It still leaks around there.
I checked the oil cooler pipes at th oil pump connection and all seems dry.. The face of the oil pump to filter is clean.
It's go me stuffed where it's leaking .

Any ideas???

Bazzle, done that a few times now and all clean at heads and rocker cover. I thought it might be oil pressure sender unit, but appears ok.
It really looks like it's leaking from the top face of oil filer seal.Got me stumped. :?:

Drive through lots of mud, let it bake on, seal, and don't wash it!

Seem's to have stopped many a Rover leak!
