Mounting a High Lift jack on a 45s

I`ve mounted High lift jacks before and they get coverd in mud and dust and seize up,Just wondering if people have any probs mounting it on the window to the step.

ive thought about putting mine there, but then your foot vents get blocked off. just service it before/after trips. carry a can of WD40/RP7.

is it tray or troopy?

i know mine would get real muddy on the side step.

Mine is on the step, I have a bracket from k-mar that screws on the passinger side windscreen hinge mount. the foot vent still opens and It dosent get coverd in mud, but I do have wider guards than staindard and flexy flairs.

nope the cab fill's befour the aircleaner get's wet anyway

Take the carriage off the upright and store it wrapped up in a tool box
Then mount the upright as you wish

mine's mounted on the sidestep, foot vent still works normal and it dooesn't get covered in mud or anything. But you do need to spray it with crc or similar every now and then. Snorkel is on opposite side to hi lift jack

I dont think it matters where you carry it, it will still need to be lubed before you use it anyway. When I had a 40, I carried it on the step, then on the back with a wheel carrier setup, and it was ok on both. Now on the 80 it is on the spare wheel and gets dusty, so I lube it before I use it and it's good.

you can get canvis covers for them. but I have never botherd
