Hi Guys,
Got the diff ratio sorted (4.3) and found a second hand one at the wrecker's
yard. Cost $65.00 NZ , rip the bugger out next weekend.
But I have another problem to sort out , the transfer box slips out of low range 4 wheel drive and into neutral. Seems to slip out on trailing throtle .
Any idea's on the fault , is it common problem?
Cheers John,

u sure its not the linkages ..
If you've done a body lift on your car,, the low range selector is affected and wont go in properly.. and vibrations from your car can push the selector back into neutral.
Have a look under your car perhaps?? make sure nothings interfering??

I had this problem also, just cut some of your floor away. Otherwise employ an ocky strap to keep it in gear. Sorry no help really.

check your body mounts, you will most likely find the floor is hitting the lever sometimes and knocking it out. Mine did this. just remove the rubber recessed boot and but an aftermarket one on which screws into floor. if that makes any sense

And if its not hitting and going in fully....
increase detent ball spring load (2mm small washer.)
Could also be bearing play.
