GQ Engine Splash Guard

Post by Draven »

Hey Guys,

Every dam time i go through mud / water it goes 'ALL' through the engine bay...Now this seems like a bit of a design fault to me.. And I was wondering if anyone made up a simple splash guard to stop this?

Im just wondering ,Would it have to cover all around the sump of just a certain part of it ?

THanks

You would affect the air flow around the engine by doing this.. That alone could create more issues than poor didums having to spend an extra 3 mins washing his engine bay...

YMMV.

It wasnt washing the engine bay I was worried about...its protecting the air filter / alternator / aircon / electrics .... Just trying to keep them as dry as I can....

Airfilter, is it open? or in a box? do u have snorkel? Get one.

Alternator - I think HM was making something up for his?

Aircond, small sheet metal plate under that could work. Or partly wrapped round it, but it too needs airflow to keep cool... Anythign else may heat it as it spins and phuk it.

Elects - do you have issues with them now?
