Lads,

This maybe old news but my manual NJ was really hard to change into second gear (snag, grownch, grind) when the box was cold (morning)

So I put some Castrol Syntrans 75W/85 gear box oil in and it totally cured the problem

the oil is fully synthetic (looks like weak honey) and costs about $17.00 a litre but worth it!!

Hi Ado

I'm glad it worked for you. I recently filled mine with a Valvoline 75W90 synthetic blend, and I'm very disappointed. I'm considering going to the factory recommended Castrol (80-M ?)

Cheers,

Scott

Scott,

the factory recommends that oil but it also recommends the syntrans if you are working in extreme environments or have cold synchro binding problems - thats how I got onto the syntrans stuff!
