does anyone know where i can get my speedo re-calibrated i have qoute of around $260 for a black box so its called which will adjust everything however that also needs to be wired up by an auto elec. is their a better way?

i need this done on 04 patrol anyone got any ideas

if its electrical, not much else.
if its gear driven like older patrols $20-35 gets you a plastic gear you can change.

yeah i'm afraid it's electrical so i guess i'll try and be carefull but i should probably try and get it done.

Run along with a GPS, mark on the speedo correct speeds.

Where can you get these plastic gears from Bruce, me getting 35's and would probably rather change the gear as its not that hard.

GQ SPEEDO DRIVE GEARS . The following has worked for me in a few combinations. They are pretty close approximations in others .
It also shows by looking at gear No (ie 17) how close ratios and tyre sizes are to normal.
Normally 2350 is 100kph ie. About 43kph/1000rpms in 5th.
You can check your speedo on the highway using K markers. At 100kph it takes 36 seconds. For 5 ks its 180secs or 3mins.
