I've got Schuler V8 Range Rover on the back of my rangie? does this mean anything at all?

That basically means that your Rangey is fitted with a special chain driven transfercase made by Schuler Presses in Germany. I think it also means you cannot reverse up steep slippery hills due to the disproportionate torque split to front and rear axles. There were other mods to the Schuler rangerover but it was too long agofor me to recall.

I have old copies of Bushdriver and Overlander that both did articles on the Schulers. Can possible dig it out for you?

There is a bloke down the road from me who drive a dark blue convertable RR with Schuler down the sides.... did they used to do those conversions as well?? It's the only one i have ever seen

They used to have 'SCHULER' on the lower part of the doors all the way down the sides.
