Jimny Reduction Gearing

Post by greg »

Hi Folks,

I've done some reading about the Jimny setups with rockhoppers, and what i'm wanting to know about is the speedo setup that people are using to make everything work once you swap the x-fer cases around?

I gather the speedo is still operated with a little geared gizmo, but are there any other changes you folks are making?

thanks in advance.

You can get a speedo adapter - from memory, Liam at Big Balls still has one left in stock. If not, you can get them direct from D&G Tuning:

www.dgtuning.com

If you need to order one for D&G, let me know as I can get it chucked in with our next order for you.

I have one in Stimpy and it works perfectly, sits between the box and the rear shaft - flange sits through the middle and it plugs straight into your electronic cable.
I will be selling the complete Rockhopper fitting kit from Ratzarz Offroad - the JimnyWorld.Com online shop - which will be online in a couple of weeks. Kit will have all the mounts, cross members, speedo adapter etc - and you will be able to buy a kit which also includes the transfer case, Rockhopper gears already fitted, shortened jackshaft and adjusted sierra tailshaft.
