Its all in the way you explain it to them. If you say "jacked up" or "lifted" they run for cover. Instead of using the normal names for lift, try explaining it like this,

suspension lift......... heavy duty suspension
Body lift................. high tensile body mounts

I clearly explained that I had changed body mounts to high tensile ones. Which I did do! I also changed the suspension to allow me to carry heavier loads, thus the reason for the installation of heavy duty suspension.

Grant's right - you've gotta be careful how you describe the modifications. I've just updated my policy with TCIS (for the latest mods) and the list of accessories and modifications I sent them (via email) included:

Four ARB Nitrocharger shock absorbers + ARB rear springs with 2" lift
50mm Body Lift

No problems from them, although the policy which arrived in the mail (this morning) lists "heavy duty springs" and no mention of the body lift. Although I appear to have two cargo barriers... :P

Give them a call?

Cheers,

Scott

I could not get body lift on the policy but I did get "high tensile body mounts" listed...

I like everything to be listed on paper so they cant be arsewipes...

i rang everywhere when i bought my triton and the cheapest price i could find for me was with just cars insurance $1000 a year cheaper then the big companys like suncorpe and racq and the best bit is they didnt add an extra excess for my driving history and fully unlimited mods as long as they are legal and complianced if necessary :)
