I run a 305 chev in my swb mav with same set up as you. It runs around 88-90 degrees cel, unless stuck in the unforgiving gatway traffic !

Mine runs at about 85 - 90, I think its going to be hard to keep from over heating in the sumer though, I need to get twin termo fans, but we will soon see.

Had 305 chev overheating problem.
Got rid of belt fan to create a little extra room.
Had thicker radiator made and fitted twin thermo fans.
Seems to have fixed the problem.
