GQ 2.8t and 3.0litre geraboxes

Can anyone tell me if the rd28t and the 3litre GQ gearboxes are the same?
If not are they interchangeable?
Think I might ditch the rd258t motor for a 3.0 litre turbo skyline or VL commadore motor?
These motors are cheap.

Why not just go for a 350 chev conversion, if your going to spend $8-10k on a conversion make it worth while

yes as far as i no rb30 box is the same as 2.8 td i have one if you need one
