Rear Wheel Arch Inner Guard Flaring?

Post by Deano »

Rear wheel arch inner guards. Can you flare/stretch/pump them wider (ie inwards)?

I dont want to space the bump stops down, as I like having my compression, and dont want to loose the up travel.

I would think that body lifting is not an option, as that part of the guard seems to be pretty perpendicular to the ground so lifting it up wouldnt make any difference

Just live with the rubbing, or are there options. Oh yeah, and a ute chop is outta the question! :?

FYI - GQ LWB, 4" Springs, 35x11.5 'pedes, yota 15x8" rims.

Cheers, Deano

I dont think the rubbing will cause you much concern with that setup. Just touch up the paint from time to time. We all do ;)

In the Mav's early days I lifted and tubbed the rear wheel arch to fit the 39.5 Swampers, so it can be done.
NOW ABLE TOO SAY WHAT I WANT WITHOUT FEAR OF LOOSING SALES.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.
