Opinions on Rocky
New to 4wd and was looking for a cheap first 4x4. Was wondering if people could give me their opinion on a turbo diesel daihatsu rocky. I don't mind the look of these and you seem to get a fair bit for what you pay e.g. air con, power steer etc. It won't be used for any hardcore stuff and will be used on road regularly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
mate, i now own my second rocky and as far as i am conserned they are a great vehicle.
i have the turbo diesel rocky and it goes like a shower of s#$t
the only problem is there are not alot of aftermarket upgrades and mods availiable for them
but i recon go for it if it is in good nick and mechanically ok

Hey, i have a modded rocky for sale if ya interested, where are ya located, i am in Newcastle, NSW. Click on the link in my sig line for details. As for my opinion of them, the only thing that lets them down is the lack of aftermarket support for stuff like gearing and lockers. If these were available mine wouldnt be for sale 
. But if ya not wanting to go hardcore, they are great. I used mine for lots of camping and medium wheeling, and it was excellent.
