What shocks would you recommend for an 85 Rocky, I'm chuckin raised King Springs leaves in, and what some new shocks as well.
What about the Rancho RS9000's?

hey paul, welcome. be sure to post in the owners section. also, make sure you read through the F.A.Q.'s as well... as for rancho 9000. just about everyone has said they were too hard for daihatsu. keep in mind, those shocks were valved for the f-100 series in mind, so the ride would have to be extremely harsh. just a heads up.

My 85 F75 runs OME nitrochargers, though not sure of model number. They are pretty good ,though too short and limit flex

Hi Paul, welcome. :D

Just to clarify PV's statement- he's talking about the USA model Rocky which is an Aussie Feroza. Leon had RS9000x's fitted to his Feroza and found them way too hard for a light vehicle- even on the softest setting!! I don't know if anyone on here has tried them on an Aussie Rocky?

Koni's and Bilstein's are usually a good bet for long life and a comfortable ride. You may want to get them custom made depending on how high you're planning on raising it. ;)

The main reason I am lookinmg at the 9000X's is that, evemtually, I will be able to control it in cab, and the fact that I can get extended travel versions at no extra cost.

well i'm sure that the weight difference isn ot that big between the aussie rocky and the ferozas.... BUT still.. i'm sure you could do better..... you'll have to do your homework though. take the easy road, dont do much effort, and dont pay much.. and you get what you pay for. that simple.

Just be careful too- Leon had RS9000 originally and was happy with them IIRC. They started leaking oil and were replaced under warranty with the RS9000X (plain RS9000 was no longer made.) The replacement RS9000X was too hard. If you do a search all the info is on here somewhere.

PV, I think you'll find around 500 kilos (~1100 lbs in your language) difference between a Rocky and Feroza!

From memory Rocky's are over 1700 kg and Feroza's are a bit over 1200kg.

That's "gross weight" which is the vehicle fully loaded IIRC?

"Kerb weight" is the vehicle itself. From the info below Ferozas range from just under 1200kg to over 1300kg depending on the model/ year (widetracks of course are the heaviest!) The Rocky is around 1700kg.
