I was talking to one of the Mitsubishi 4WD club guys at the 4WD Show on Thursday night and he suggested that someone here (Misterbishi?) may be able to help me. Could anyone with the necessary spares be able to do me a favour?
What I am after is the diameter (as accurately as possible) and the pressure angle of the splined portion of a Pajero front differential to see if there is a possibility of the 28 spline being the same as the Sportage rear diff, thereby being able to use the same sidegear spline cutter for an ARB locker for the rear of the newer Sportage models. Also ring PCD and number of bolts/dia would be good to know too (possible direct drop-in).
If you really have the time would it be possible to fill out the dimensions of this diagram? (wish list only, "non core")

I have a front centre at work and can do the measurements tomorrow.
I don't have a crownwheel unfortunately but Noisey on this forum has a spare.
If it's close your welcome to borrow it for more detailed study but I would like it back eventually. I have a spare CV but Mark Hardman has that at the moment.
Also Daniel at ARB (I think you know who he is) will also be able to help as he should have all the front diff measurements for the new Paj front locker (RD110).

Thank you very much. I am trying to do as much groundwork as possible for lockers on both ends of the Kia (I guess you had a quick loook at the links) to produce a reasonable proposition for ARB. Looks like we are a slightly modified Suzuki diff up front, with the Zook case (with ring gear spacer) with possibly the Paj front sidegears in the diff for the rear.
I haven't actually met Daniel, but I have had communications via email.
The next step will be Tcase gearing, higher ratio +/- twin cases (someone elses task!!!).

For t/case gears you have to talk to Mark Hardman of Hardman Bros they are in Dingley ph- 9551-5566 and cut all the low range gears for Marks 4wd Adaptors and a lot of the ARB locker parts. However Mark is going to Japan tomorrow for 2 weeks.

If someone has a front shaft they can measure the spline diameter as distinct from the axle diameter we will have all the info we need. (most axles tend to be necked down before they enter the diff to allow for the rolled splines being proud of the axle diameter. This allows the shafts to pass through the sides of the diff) ARB only supply the major axle diameter (prior to necking down) in their information sheet, not spline diameter, and it is the splines that cost the big $$$ to machine out of the side gears. Need to see if Pajero = Sportage spline diameter/pressure angle.
