Once again...looking forward to meeting you BRT. Seems you complain about everything. There is more to 4wheeling than driving like a dickhead...as you will see in two weeks when you feature in show 6, the Outerlimits trip to Gembrook!
Maybe you'd like to spend 15 hours a day busting your nuts so that wankers like you can complain...or maybe you can do a better job. Dreaming! Keep digging that hole bud, it will be a long climb out. The answer is simple BRT...stop watching and silence your bitchen'.

Sincere thanks to those who are watching an enjoying. We get a shite load of support email every day.
And thanks to people like Patrolman who have put in the hard yards with their own time.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to see any 4wdtv episodes as I am OS. Is there any way we can download old episodes over the web, or even highlights, so people like me can see what they are missing.

That NZ bit was MAD!!!!
Anyway keep it up and I'll keep watching.

Can someone tape next weeks show coz I'll still be 4Wheeling my way in a desert!

Episode 1 was just to warm you guys up and we have plenty of surprises coming. A highlight for me though was interviewing Glen Dobbin for ep 3 and catching a ride in his Tuff Truck winning rig. That was awesome.

4wd Vic have been great, as have 4wd Qld...not to forget the show sponsors...we are also well supported by the all new Tuff Truck, the CCDA and 4x4 Australia has just lined up to be the 4wd TV home magazine.

The 4x4 show in Melbourne was great also, with heaps of congratulations (we worked the Brawn stand, showing off the new Silverstones) and had our program aired on the huge screen above the main stage...that was a buzz also!

We have some Tuff Truck and CCDA specials coming up soon and show 6 has another nice roll over from PUOSU.

Next weekend we are off to Qld to cover Mud, Bulls and Music...so I hope all of you northerners come and say hi! We have already been booked for a number of club and rig reports and hope to do an interview with 4wd Qld.

Well done Simon, Miranda and your team! :D

When will the DVD be ready for this?? As I said in the emails to you I am in the unlucky catagory for the viewing area! Looking forward to it!
Getting in with 4x4 Australia is a great idea too. nothing like a good "strategic alliance" ;)

Keep up the Good Work!
Cheers

Mudtoy, You obviously spend a lot of time putting the show together and think it is pretty good. You have a lot of supportors, but people are looking for different things from it. I don't think there is a need to go on the attack when someone is critical. I liked the NZ segment and the rock crawling. Been to the mud racing a few times, but didn't get a lot from that segment, I think you should be a bit more unbiased about the products you push. Let them have an advert, but I think you have to careful about endorsing particular product as being good, better, best. The viewers rigs part is very average. If you are going to feature a vehicle is should be something that viewers are interested in rather than something off the car yard where you appear to know more about it than the owner.

Here's my .02c worth. I like the new series, everyone seems to be getting more comfortable in front of the cameras. I agree about the viewers rigs. The one last night was pretty uninspiring, a basic troopy and you had to really prod the guy to get any comments out of them. i realise that some people get nervous in front of a camera but a little bit of coaching/practising run would be helpful.

As to showing the footage from events a little bit of commentary about what is going on would be good. Just showing some edited footage doesn't really inform you about what is happening. the mud racing really needed the explanation as it just looked like a few guys tearing around a paddock.

Keep up the good work

PS the "ad" for nankang tyres still has tyres spelt as tyers in the web address

Thanks for the feedback guys, it is much appreciated. We do have to cover all aspects of wheeling and that does mean the average troopy. As a balance you also get the comp car at the end of the show every week.
I completely undertsand what you are saying about the voice overs but honestly there is just no time. We have now had to hire an assistant editor just to keep up and I still get to bed after midnight every night and am up at 7:30 and in to it again the next morning.
I can understand that you watch a half hour and think, oh it can't be that hard, just a bit of editing but it is massively time consuming.
In two weeks you will see an interview fron PNL driver training. It was an 8 minute interview that I have had to cut to just under 3.5 minutes. I have already spent 4 hours on this one segment and it will take another 2 to finish it. It took 3 hours the other day just to cut a 30 second clip for the CCDA.
Without sounding smart...how about you volunteer to do the voice overs for the next show.
There is no money in this (at the moment) for us and if we tried to address every criticism and make the show perfect then it just wouldn't get to air. But yes, I am wrapped with what we have done.
And what products did we push? We talked about rims, with a small mention on tyre sizes and we looked at the EFS shocks...both products I have used personally for some time and think are great and it was hardly the full on sell and when did I ever say that anything was better than something else, we actually said that the EFS shocks had the same features as all of the other major shocks on the market...and just the truth, difference is the EFS shocks are designed and tested here in oz for specific vehicles.
The ad for Nankang was redone last week and forwarded to the station. All the mistakes with the timing, placement, etc of the ads is via the volunteers at the station...the ads are seperate to our show.
BRT has been over critical of the show and a number of other issues on a variety of threads. I am certainly not jumping at a passing comment.
Far out guys, like it...watch it. Don't like it...don't watch! Want it to be better...then volunteer and make it better. You obviously have heaps of knowledge and experience..share it.

Hey Simon if only I was in your area!
I know what you mean for editing time! We (myself and 2 others in the group) had to make a 30 - 60second ad on any product! We decided on 30 cause it is more "marketable" and common! Damn 30 seconds goes flamin quick! Half a day filming and 2 to edit (mere amatures here!!) so I can appretiate the sh!t you go through!

I might see if uni will prop me up for expenses on a "work experience" trip!! :D

Cheers

Simon and Jason.. LOVE the show.. BRT - shuddup would ya, your just complaining coz your not in the show :finger:.

Maybe when your interviewing viewers/comp drivers get some info on engine/drivetrain aswell.

I esp loved Glen Dobbins rig...

Keep up the good work.. cant wait for the rest of the shows, they provide a great excuse to not study!
Cheers,
Dan.
