Has any one else had a problem with their front diff on their vitara chewing the bearing out where the CV joint goes in, I have had this problem twice after going through muddy water, and replaced the diff once and now it is stuffed again

What year GV? I know there are a few different part numbers for the housings but don't know the differences apart from auto/alloy and manual/cast iron.

Is it bearings on both sides?
If only one, check the mounts- may have cracked and dropped the diff slightly.
The alloy front diff is the reason why I gave up on mine
though I hear that they're fine when replaced with the steel diff.

your talking about the passager side? No bearing on the drivers side.
I would think that if it was gritty than it would stuff up the seal on the bearing.
Have not have any problems with mine.

It is only the drivers side that gives me issues

Their is NO bearing on the drivers side. Just a metal bush that helps support the CV stub axle. If the seal is stuffed grit could be getting into this and wearing it out.
