Maxi Drive defender rear axles p38

Post by uninformed »

hey all, i dropped in to see Mal today and he asked me to post this. Someone has posted on another site (i don't know who or what site), that the Maxi Drive rear axles for the ROVER type diff (p38, 2002 onwards, NOT salisbury), FITTED TO DEFENDERS, are too short.

Yes they were, by 10mm. They have been corrected and Maxi Drive has tried to contact all the customers to replace them with the correct axles. If you have been missed please contact Maxi Drive on 07 55 303934.

Basicly what happened, Mal first started making axles for the defender with p38 rear in 1999. Yes this is earlier than we got the change over. The order was from the Israeli army for there defender xd's (wolf). They supplied the specs from there own vehicles for Mal to build from. So when we got the change over on the def rear and they were slightly different-10mm- Mal got caught out. As i said this has been corrected and Mal has made the effort, do not hesitate to contact Maxi Drive re this concern if you need to.

cheers, Serg
