RR Springs & Shocks Brake Lines

Post by malibu9 »

If I put in a 2 or 3 inch lift on my Rangie do I need to extend the brake lines? Also should I be lowering my shock mounts to take advantage of the extra travel. I currently have Koni shocks which are still in good condition and the left overs a 2 inch lift with lovells springs which has sagged quite a bit. With the Koni shocks are these longer than the original shocks if they are would it be nescessary to start modifying the shock mounts? All after market springs seem to be 2inch or 4inch plus is there a 3inch spring available on the market?

rear brake line:
loosen tee turn 90 degrees and bolt back down using angle bracket.

Front:
the front steel lines can be carefully pulled through 50mm, remove existing bracket and relocate.

cycle suspension, measure shock mounts at most compressed, check against compressed shock alter shock mount to suit.

Gday Malibu,
what kinda KONIs do you have?

I'm about to fit KONIs matched to RRC rear HD springs all around (white/green code) to my D90.

I know it's different,but I was suggested to buy +1" brake hoses,and so I did.

Cheers
