Rancho model numbers please..

Post by BadLux »

Hey,
With those of you with the know how, could someone tell me the model number of the Rs9000's that fit a toyota hilux 89-97 single cab with a 2" lift. On the rear however I want to run climax extended shackles to get more flex so say 2" longer than the front shocks.
Cheers

Few things you need to clarify:

2" suspension lift or 2" body lift?
Do you have or plan to install shock hoops on front?
On rear do you have std fore/ aft mounted shock locations or have you converted it to / \ setup (if not you may not get much benefit from the climax's)?

3" body 2" suspension, well I was thinking of going to a frame rear end to get some flex but how expensive is it to do this conversion, i'm VERY limited on funds. I need the model numbers of the shocks because I'm gonna get my uncle to send some over from the US. I can get rancho 9000's for $85AUS and the in cab kit for $150AUS. I am considering to do the snake racing shock hoops but with the extra travel don't you need to move your steering etc?? It's all very stock atm. just 33's, 2" springs, 3" body. Looking to get more done but the funds are dribbling in, being a uni student and all.

they will end up costing more than that after customs get em :(

A frame rear ... you wanna do a coil converion ?
plan on doing it yourself or paying for it to be done doing yourself could get away under 1k paying round 4k

no real point going to snake shock hoops until your getting some decent flex out of the front end

I did my A frame rear for under NZ$500.
Get some mid nineties Isuzu Bighorn rear trailing arms (they're about 900mm long) and their rear spings (just clamp em in) and build your own A frame using a third trailing arm bush for the A frame to diff mount.
If you want I can email you pics of mine.

Cheers Thomas
Where the f#@k did that come from
