lpg tanks (apa tripple tank)

Post by pcman »

was browsing ebay for lpg gear and came across this interesting looking tank setup and thought it would be sweet for use in my 40
those who came to gembrook should know i hate my gastank its too damn low and made my day harder than it should have been grrr

now im thinking about getting this and raising the rear floor up and fitting it underneath i recon it would be sweet yeah its gonna kill the inside room but who cares and eventually i wanna go trayback ute so it wont bother me

anyone used a setup like this ??
what capacity is it ??

Hey mate,

the guys who installed my LPG tank suggested that to me. and that is a bloody good price. i was told about 65lt usable, but not 100% sure. it'd probably cost u at least $600 new (guess  )

just get a fake floor made up, it only raises of the floor by 200mm. too easy!! ;)

personally i like the tiny room at the back just the way it is...so didn't go with that extra setup. since you r going ute...u're set.

i'd buy it if i were in melb!!
Pimpin', it ain't easy but it sure is fun

yeah i have a 80l tank under the back but after going out saturday i was getting stuck on the tank lots so im planing on removing it

a false floor would be another good easy idea if it stays at a decent price ill prolly buy it sounds like a good idea 65l should give me around 220km eek really should get it tuned

pCMAN they are great, will tuck up nice particularily one you go tray. I would like something similar, but I would need at least two so as to have the same range as I have now out of 120Lt. Which is only 350km
Go in hard, and drive the bitch!!!!!!

im pretty tight for money so if it goes for under 100ill grab it cause when i go tray ill raise the tray and prolly fit the current tank up higher to get another 20cm of clearance under it its just fucked at the moment

My brother had one like that fitted to his car. The usable capacity of his was only 40 litres. I'd be double checking the size of it. My brothers was dual fuel hence the need for a compact tank however he would only get around 130-140km out of the tank. I don't think that would be too useful.

Ive seen a display model of that same style LPG tank here in Sydney.
It was cut open to show the inside. Its probably ok as a secondary tank coz the capacity didnt look much.
Dont expect mere proof to sway my opinion.
