I think I've done it!!! - Soft suspension for my F75 rocky

I think I've done it!!! - Soft suspension for my F75 rocky
After stuffing around with our suspension for how long now we have got it to ride nice and soft.. comes pretty darn close to my brothers defender which has coils.
We got the softest springs available with a 2" lift from Redcliffe Springs removed 1 leaf from each spring ( dropped the height by 1/2" - if that)>
We then went and bought some gabriel shocks from supercheap to suit rocky - the were even on the shelf ($35ea) and voila.....
soft ride.
It handles the same around corners as before and is the same on the highway. Offroad it is a sh#t load better.
Dunno how legal it is taking leafs out but I know my bums not caring cause it is real nice and soft.
We are also running 31"'s which I think helps.

My lil truck, runs damn rough.. Got under it the other day and found out why...
Pedders Sports Gas on the front... Pedders Comfort Gas on the rear...
I'm guessing that's a good reason as to why it's rough, $35 for Gabriel shocks ???? wonder if there is something that matches that is longer, to suit a 2" suspension lift...

We have about 1 1/2" suspension lift and have only got stock length shocks on the rocky. At full travel the top of the front tyre is about 1-2" below the sill. The rear is pretty good too. I am unsure what the life of any of the suspension is going to be because it is already very soft but I think it has cost us about $600 all up, Not bad considering ARB quoted us $2100 for a real soft ride. So if i only get half of the normal life span I'll be happy.
Would love to do more mods but money becomes a bit of an issue, my boss is about to sack me so won't be much extreme happening in the near future, although an aftermarket intercooler and mandrel bent exhaust is on the cards. I have been told it will increase power lots.
I'm not really into swapping parts from other cars, whats the point of it being a rocky if half of the car is a toyota etc. There are smarter ways of improving what you've got.
My opinion anyway!!!
