Post by ehsankiani »

Hello there..
Is there any difference in the 70 series and the 73 series soft top, or are they interchangable.
Thanks

didnt know the 70 series come in a soft top. actual solft top or frp?

either way a 73 series is mwb and 70 series swb, so can't see that would be interchangeable. my guess anyway

I thought so too. FJ 73 is a MWB and FJ70 is a SWB. They make an FRP TOP for both. I have a FRP TOP ROOF for sale if wanted though...

Is there many other soft top FJ73s out there or am I the only one?

Ahh you bugger rugger, thought I was one of the only ones, if not 'the' only one.

Well done though, it is good in the end, big roll cage on it and it looks good.

Want to chop my barwork down a little more though, as I had bostrim suspension seats and sat really high, I wanted to be able to clear the cage by about 6 inches or so, so i made the cage high.

Now with 33s, sagged/standard front leaves, and 60 series rear leaves, it sits at 2.1 metres high. Will be changing it, but just getting it back on the road for now, pics will be coming soon.

Yeah I did remove the standard roll bar, but I had an aluminium replacement put in it's place that joins up with the rest of it...

Because I kept the rear seat I had to have another bar somewhere in that vacinity that then had some arms running down into the rear corners.

I want to be able to cut the bars down a little though, it does sit a little high (apparently you need head room for some reason).

I get it back this weekend, I have just bought 35" MTRs and a Suspension lift. It has a Body Lift already aswell so it's should be pretty big.

Might be able to get some photos on Sunday.
