Late...Very late....answer to a query

Post by Squik »

A while ago someone asked about the metal ball that fell out of their transfer case when they split it.
I was just reading through the Rockhopper install notes here and found this:

The ball is known as the "check ball" and is located in the hole where the electrical light switch (dash indicator) wire plugs in. Remove the plug with a shifter and tilt until ball rolls out.
To replace it: After joining the case, line up the shift rod gates then drop in the ball and then screw the plug back in. It's important that the gates are lined up first.

Yeah the info is late...but may help someone :D
DRS smells like a cat-food milkshake... and wet socks... and gorgonzola cheese... all whizzed up in a blender
