how can i tell if my auto is TH-350 or TH-400 ?
also , are the TH-350 and 400 Torque converters the same?
i was told that my auto was a turbo 400 , however i have just pulled the motor out and the torque convertor has "turbo 350" written on it
ive since bought another 308 which had a turbo 400 behind it and has "turbo 400" written on it.
i need to know i f i have to change the convertors or if i can just leave the 400 convertor on there
thanks

Hi it's Rodney here from Wholesale Automatics. All Holden cars fitted with the T/400 used T/350 convertors. Infact most T/400 transmissions run the T/350 size convertor, it's only the U.S imports where you might find the larger T/400 convertor.
The T/350 transmission has the vacuum modulator facing rearward on the drivers side rear corner of the transmission while the T/400 has it's vacuum modulator facing outwards ( Sideways ) on the drivers side front corner of the transmission.
Regards
Rodney
