Why bother and limit yourself to certain tyres??? New rims arn't too bad on price anyway.

I used to run a set of bfg on my 110.Not a bad tyre and a good size but were wearing a little quick for my liking.

Don`t think you can get the 33x10.5`s in muddys any more only in AT but you should be able to run the 33x11.5`s m,uddys with 15x7`s

I'll probably go 8" in the end, I was just curious as to who else does something in that size.

According to the US BFG site, you can still get the 33x10.5 in either the AT or the MT. (There is also a 32x11.5)

I have the 33x10.5 ATs on my jeep as my daily tyres.
I also have the 32x9.5 (rather than the 32x10.5) Simex ET on another set of 7" rims. The Simex's are virtually a 33 anyway.

According to the websites the true diameters are

Simex 33.4"
BFG AT 32.7"
BFG MT 32.8"

I have looked far and wide for other 33x10.5s as I only run 7" rims and the above are the only legal speed rated 33" tyres I have ever found. If you don't care about road legal then there are some skinny swampers in 34x9.5 which Gordo ran in OBC on his TJ.

If you find any others let me know.

cheers

I have the 33 x 10.50 BFG MTs on my Patrol. Nice tyre, good size as they fit on the car without looking huge, tuck in nicely in the guards. They can be a bit hard to get your hands on but they are available. For some reason when I got them in melbourne I had to have two sent down from townsville and a mate who bough them as well had the same thing happen

I looked around a while ago and Kelly amongst others do a 33x10.5 as well.

Quite a few suppliers do them but getting hold of them is generally the hard bit.

Did anyone ever run those BFG 'trac edge' tyres that used to be available? When I had my Pajero I enquired into getting some of these and apparently I couldn't get them. The bloke didn't have much of a clue but so I assume they are available somewhere......
