Is it an Earth Leakage

Post by pegasus »

I only have headlights, brake lights (not normal tail) and reverse lights at the moment.

I have checked for power after the fuse, and all is ok there. I have no interior lights, no tail lights, no parkers.

Where else should I check for the problem. The fuse and relay are both ok.

The car is a LN61 4Runner.

Have you got the manual for it, and are they all on the same fuse/ power feed?

I have the manual, and no the diagram pretty well.

The lights are through their own circuit with relay and fuse. The headlights are on a seperate circuit and they are ok.

The interior lights, parkers and tail lights come on together. The fuse is fine, the wires around the fuse box are ok, and I think the relay is ok.

I think I need to check some voltage levels at the relay.......

You really need a wiring diagram.....you may be able to get one off the net, but ther are usually fairly rudimentery, so go down to repco or supercheap and grab a gregory's.....without a wiring diagram you will chase your tale for hours and drive yourself insane
