Wiring prob
Wiring prob
Anyone know which of the senders on the gearbox is the one that controls the reverse lights ? Currently I'm getting the reversing lights coming on when in 4th gear. I think there's 3 or 4 senders. Guessing I 've got to swap the polarity on one. ( sierra 5 speed)

I had a giggle over this Now all you have to do is hook up your interior light to your hazards and brake light switch to your horn!!!
For the newbs, the easiest way to find this out would be to put the transmission in reverse and test for continuity on each of the switches with a multimeter.
The reverse light switch is on the passengers side of the car on a 45degree angle closest to the eng.
It's plug is one of the smaller 3 with a female end on a wide track & a male end on a 1 litre, sorry dont have a 1.3 narow track here today.
It plugs into a red & a yellow wires on the body harness (all models)
This problem normally occurs when gearbox is repaired & the switches are mixed up.(easy to do if you don't take notice of where they go when removing them .
