Sounds pretty serious, we want more details and PICS - especially of the broken maxi axle.

Ok, well there is not much to tell, pretty easy trip and I am at a loss to explain why I broke anything. Didn't bounce the truck once. First axel broke coming out of a mudhole, the next 2 broke while attached to a winch on soft shale.

I think I might put GQ's in it.

Here are some pics of the day, haven't pulled the diffs appart yet so will take pics when I have.

Bummer ,

Pic 4 looks like split rock rd,

and the tree near door looks like Orimbah , little twist.

That oil burner puts out a heap of torque down low !

I don't know how you managed to break that many things, especially the maxi-drive axle. Is it possible you have an early Maxi-Drive axles, with EN25 axles instead of HY-TUFF??? I know of a couple of those breaking.

took one stock disco axle to break going through an uneven dirt road to make me say that.

you have plenty more reasons to

Yes, pics of the broken maxi axle would be interesting :D

My rear maxi-drive I have had for 7 years and been on 4 diffrent Rangies and was probably about that age when I bought the 84 Rangie with it fitted onto (about 1998). Has had floggings with 31's and 32's and only twisted a bit at the axle end, but nothing too serious.

At the end of the day, nothings really unbreakable, just sone gear breaks much easier than others.
