what axle in a fj40? how many spline?

hey just trying to work out how many spline the axle would be in my fj40 84 model so i can get a locker for it.... 10 or 30 spline?

front diff.

Thanks my45... i thought i remembered there being that many when i changed the axles and stuff in the rear diff.... i just did not take much notice back then as it was just a strait swap over from another diff...

just wanted to double check tho :?

it may pay to check since there is 2 different types of axles late model axle is skinny were the early models r larger in diameter wich i found out after snappin a axle and the wrecker give me the wrong one he did not know there was a difference that was central coast 4x4 wreckers and even the diff tube axle seal r different sizes

Yeah it was in 71 or 73 they changed from the coarse spline to fine spline with 30.

checkout one of the cruiser almanacs.

I had a dilemna though, some numb nut previous owner went tight ass and put coars diffs in mine. but that has been changed now and everyones happy.
