Help needed for vitara

Post by Santos »

Two things....

i will be spending next week hunting around for various bit for my Sierra at the various wreckers (pick and payless etc) so i was hopping someone could take a few photo's of the powersteering as well as list all the bit's i need for the conversion
Also is they any way you can dismiss a vitara as not having power steering if is a certain model (ie JL, JA, JX, JLX or something like that?)

Secondly when did EFI come in the little 1.6l vits?
(Hey if i'm looking might as well keep an eye out for one)

You are better off looking for a Jimny power steer box bolts straight on.

All the LWB's came with EFI and the SWB's from September '94 on. The JLX got the power steeering.

LWB's had power steering and EFI as standard but not JX SWB's. SWB's had 8v and carby until Series 2 in Sept. '94 when they got the 16v EFI like the LWB's.
