PTO winch

HI! I would like to mount a PTO winch on my SWB Patrol 3.3T, but here in my country i can't find it, so i will need to made it up myself. So I will be very happy if somebody could post some info about PTO on Patrols and possible post some pisc of it, especialy the mount on the transfer case.

Hi Buger,
Maybe its simpler to stay with the electric winch rather than building a PTO from scratch? Going by the picture you posted looks like youve already got one.

I found one in a wreakers in southern Sydney about a year ago... may not help you though

Talk to RMP&O off this board. He is working with a PTO i beleive, and knows about the freight system as well.
Youve done reverse shackle on your MQ?
How do u find it? does it work better than standard?

nice truck, love the guard hack on front, then nothing at the rear guards!

The front of the rear guards looks hacked but the rear of the rear definatly isnt......
your runnign 35" tyres yes?

g'day mate ive got a pto on my mq, and luckily im in the process of fitting new bearings and seals to the bit that mounts to the transfer, so if you post your E-mail addy i'll take some pics of it stripped down and some as i bring it to completion - thats tommorows job

Tyers are 36" Buckshot Mudders, the front winch is a Warn M12000 24V, rear is a Warn M8000 12V, both with syntetyc rope.
Yes on the fron I made the schakle reversal and it works great, it has a loot of travel.
The PTO is not for this Patrol but for my other one, wich is usede as a daily driver.

I rebuilt the pto drive today, who wants pics? - i took heaps, did you want them mark or did you want reverse shackle pics? i'll take a few pics of my reverse shackle tommorow also, just so u guys can have have a bit of a look... I'll email them tommorow night.

Some pics of the PTO for me please.
I can send some pics of reverse shackle tommorow, but the pics of the front flex will be dificult, because the rigs engine is diasembled.

Pcs of my reverse shackle!
PIC1 - front mount:
- 1 bolt through original shackle mount
- 2 bolt through leaf spring
- 3 reinforcment between front mounts
- 4 original front shackle mount
PIC2 - side view of the front mount

The travel of the front tyre is of about 28 CM. Here is a pair of pics of the standard ride height, ~ full comprsed and of full drop tyre:
