Question on Diff Ratio

Post by Simo63 »

I've got an 80 series front diff at home that I purchased some time ago and now want to sell however when I checked the ratio of the centre it was something like 4.55556. It had 41 teeth on the crownwheel and 9 on the pinion (and I checked it twice to make sure).

Does anyone know what this is out of?

Cheers
Simo

that is very strange
all 80s come stock with 4.11
but you can get 4.5 HP out of luxs
but it would be hard to macth up hte rear

I was told it was a VX Sahara however I didn't really believe that as I thought they would have had the factory lockers
