Bending checker plate

Post by -Richo- »

I have some left over 2mm aluminium checker plate that i want to fab into some sill covers for my lux. But my sills are curved and id like to make it neat so i was wondering how i would go about bending strips of checker plate evenly, the strips will be about 70mm wide by about a metre or so. Im thinking of bending it around some suitably sized steel pipe but im unsure how to make it evenly bent. Maybe id be better off getting it done at a sheetmetal shop or something?
