CV joint removal??

This happens a lot with our treated CVs thats why we dont run the inner C Clip. On ours they still tend to get a little stuck as the spline usually twists before snapping. Get some good High Temp grease and cover all of the CV star, Race and balls but dont cover the broken axle. Then get a piece of half inch steel rod and weld it to the Broken axle. The grease should protect the rest of the CV from splatter.(You can actually use Cooking Oil to do this as well). Then cut the 1/1 inch rod down to a couple of inches long and weld that to the old broken axle. Then you can remove it the easy way by sliding it into a piece of 50mm tube to jar the axle loose.
It snapped because the diff housing got bent not because of wheelspin or anything like that so by rights it should come out reasonabl easy?
