1.3 2 1ltr Transfer

Post by map »

I am currently thinking about changing my 1.3ltr transfer case to a 1ltr has anyone done this and what have they had to change to get it to fit.

Reason Im changing is so I can use 5th gear again after loosing it from putting bigger tyres under it.

Any help would be grateful

I think you need to reuse your 1.3 arms, should be worth doing, I have a 1.3 with 1litre case, but mine started as a one litre, and the road gearing is excellent(need a 6th gear) christover

I started with a 1ltr transfer and then changed to a 97" model case so i could run the serie 3 rockhopper gears.
The only thing i changed was the flanges and also put the tailshaft handbrake off the 1ltr onto the 97" case.

The 1.3 flanges are different to 1 litre you will have to redrill them.
