V6 Pajero on LPG

Hi all,
I'm just wondering if anyone out there has a 91 V6 3.0i NG Pajero running on LPG. I hear that it is not recommended by Mitsubishi but with the fuel prices at over a dollar a litre and the Pajero getting 17L per 100kms in economy, I am thinking of going LPG. I have requested information from Gas Research Australia regarding their Direct LPG Injection system but I still am wondering if the heads will cope with the gas. I've heard stories of valves burning out at 40,000kms and heads needing new seats every 100,000kms. I've only seen ONE V6 Pajero (NG) on gas so far out of about 50 or so that I've seen around. This also leads me to beleive that LPG may not be too good for them. Are these myths? Can anyone offer some good advice?
Thanks in advance,
Anezka.
