Cherokee diesel

Post by alanc »

Hi,
I am considering buying a 97 ish Cherokee and wondered if any forum members have experience with the 2.5 diesel version.
The torque figure of 300 Nm seems to be ok but how does it work in practice?
Are there any known common problems with them?
Thanks and regards, Al.

Thanks again.
I have since been told that the VM diesel used in range rover/discovery was a lemon and am concerned that they are that way in jeeps.
Anyone had any problems that would point to expensive repairs down the track?
Regards, Al.
