Cooling the Beast

Post by one_iota »

My cousin John is planting a 6.5 litre V8 GMC diesel (NA) in to his 110 County. He will be installing aircon.

One of the unknown factors is how much cooling will be required.

He was planning to use the radiator from his ex Stage 1 V8 Series III and some electric fans in addition to a fan (not viscous coupled) running off the engine.

So he seeks some guidance from those who know.

A mate of mine had a 6.2 chev in his 75 ser toy. Standard 2h radiator was only just up to task. He had to mount a/c condensor under tray. I cant remember size of rad to compare to rover unit.
