Does anybody know where I could hire a tapered reamer or have a steering arm hole reamed out in Melbourne?
I am building my own high steer arms and need to ream a tapered hole to suit Patrol tie rod end.
I have looked at buying a reamer but it is going to cost over $150.00 and that's a bit too much for a single use.

Try the yellow pages. Most engineering fabrication shops will have them.

Hey YankeeDave
What sizes do you have? In looking All I can find is flute length, max dia and min dia. None of the reamers listed were sized in degrees.
Also where abouts are you located?

i could not find a reamer when i did my hi-steer arms. i bored the taper in a lathe using bearing blue to get the taper right. it was a bugger of a job. i wish i had this info a while ago.
