Your opinion on buying

Post by MudHungry »

I'm currently looking at buying another GQ Patrol LWB
detail of this GQ are:
1989
4.2 carb
LPG
50mm lift
ARB winch bar
Roof racks
cargo barrier
dual battery system
351000 kms
Cost $9900 advertised price
looks like it was well looked after

was just wondering what everyone else thinks. Personally think it may be a bit much. All help appreciated.

sounds a bit rich considering the year and the kms....

try looking in www.redbook.com.au or www.carsales.com.au and look up the value of what its really worth and then substract 1 to 2 thousand off that for a proper value (redbooks always overvalued to protect their asses)

yea 2 things are a worry

1) LPG - The heads on TB's HATE LPG.. $1000+ to fix
2) the amount of klms - how many klms do you think the donk is good for, as said, bit rich for a 89 mod.

sounds a bit steep.

I paid 10k for a 89 maverick td42 with winch, alloy bar and only 220000k's on the clock with heaps of rego. That was from a dealer and it has been perfect since, its in really good condition too.

I'd offer 8k for it?
