In South America - different specs in different markets. In 1998 Aus spec Challengers ONLY had leaf suspension. (Montero Sport, I think?)

A '98 Model in Aus would be NL, which started here in late '97. The model before, the NK, was very similar. The model after was the NM, the first of the all independent Gen 3 models, introduced here in 2000.

The pic in the Pics thread is definitely Gen 2, so in our speak, probably NL, possibly NK. Mechanically, there were few differences.

Cheers,

Scott

PS Welcome to OL. :D

Yeah the leaf springs were dropped here in around 93-94 and everything was coils after that even with the base models.
But as Scott said different markets had different specifications.
Our early base models with leaf springs were all 2.6 motors (not 3.0 V6).
