Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I'm not sure if this is Electrical or General, but it was Stu's Compressor thread that got me thinking, and I didn't want to hijack his thread.

I wouldn't mind putting a larger tank in to supplement the ARB tank, but am concerned about how much longer I'll have to wait for the large tank to pump up, before the diff lock will activate. Is there a simple pneumatic device I could install between tanks, so that the ARB tank hits 90-100 psi before the second tank starts to fill?

Installing a solenoid valve between the tanks would be one solution, but then there's a second switch to operate. That could confuse me too much. Anybody have other ideas?

use an inline tank overpressure valve, or pressure relief valve, just set it to your desired bypass pressure and it will bleed off into the second tank. easy.

Just turn your compressor on early at the bottom of the hill instead of when you want the locker halfway up?
Never had a problem with my ARB's even one that ran a 1.5 litre tank off a $15 K-mart compressor.
Current tank is a 4kg gas bottle, can run the locker off it all day without the compressor, probably a week if not for a small leak somewhere.

My OBA system uses Pressure Protection valves to fill each tank in order. Ist tank fills to 90PSI then valve opens and next tank then starts filling. Mine was from a Merceedes Truck
