Gearbox from petrol to diesel 40

Post by Chump »

Hi guys just another quick question for you all. I have just been given a 4 speed gearbox from a '74 FJ40 which was once put in there to replace the original 3 speed.

This gearbox seems to be much healthier than my current one on my '78 BJ40. I was just wondering if it would simply be able to replace my current one??? Is it a straight swap or something as simple as replacing the imput shafts as well????

Cheers

So the imput shaft from my current one attaches to the replacement one. Correct???
